Super Cairo

Cairo is an ancient city with a thousand-year history and a modern metropolis where millions of people live.

In the southwest of Cairo, on the Giza plateau, stands the Great Pyramid (Pyramid of Cheops) - this is the only one of the seven wonders of the world that has survived to this day and the most ancient of them. The age of the pyramid is estimated at approximately 4,500 years. Next to the pyramids of Giza there is another symbol of Egypt - the Great Sphinx, a statue of a mythical creature with the head of a man, the body of a lion with the wings of an eagle, erected under Pharaoh Cheops, made of a limestone monolith.

The collection of the National Museum contains over 150 thousand artifacts, sarcophagi of the pharaohs, mummies, household items and much more. The museum is especially proud of the treasures of Tutankhamun, including the golden sarcophagus of the pharaoh weighing about 110 kg

PROGRAM:

• Boat ride on the Nile River (about 25 minutes).
